Lucy Schulz has worked for the University since 1990 in a range of administrative and academic roles. In April 2009 Lucy commenced as the Director: Service Improvement, a secondment as part of a corporate priority project to develop a new service delivery model for the University's administrative activities. Prior to this she was Director: Student and Academic Services and Academic Registrar, a position she held from 2002 until the secondment in 2009.

Prior to this role she was the University's Quality and Change Manager providing advice to staff and management on effective approaches to organisational change, innovation and management with a specific emphasis on quality management frameworks. Successful projects include: development of the University's quality management framework; coordination of a University wide project to establish Campus Central, a one stop shop for campus and student administration for students, staff and members of the public; change management for the student information system; reviews of the Program Director role, School Administration and the International Office.

She finished her Masters degree in human resources in 2000 focusing specifically on organisational culture and values in the context of change management. Ms Schulz has recently commenced a professional doctorate in business and is planning to focus on performance measurement systems in universities.
