Welcome to my home page.
My role within Learning Connection is to support PhD, Masters and Professional doctorate by research students and their supervisors at the University. I provide a range of workshop programs and web resources for students doing research in the social sciences and humanities. I also work with students on a one-to-one basis to provide research support and advice.

Teaching interests
- Current research education workshops: Commencing program (supports the development of the research proposal), Thesis Writing program - (writing introductions, literature review, research design, mid thesis chapters, conclusions and abstracts, writing exegeses, and editing strategies for different thesis genres within the social sciences and humanities), Methodology series for the social sciences and humanities (introduces classical social theory, positivism, empiricism, constructionism, interpretivism, hermeneutics, Critical theory, French structuralism, Foucault, Deleuze and Guattari, Derrida, feminisms, and post colonial thought).
- In the past I have taught courses in the philosophy of knowledge and ethics, women and labour, feminist theory, sociology of health and illness, introductory sociology, introduction to gender studies, and interpersonal communication.

Research interests
- My research background is in the area of political philosophy, feminist theory, feminst labour and economic thought and studies of women's work. I am currently developing research in the area of higher education, with a focus on the emerging policy climate and direction of research education.
