Mr Behnam Fahimnia

Welcome to my homepage at the University of South Australia.

I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Azad University of Tehran in 2001. After graduation, I worked as a full-time researcher in manufacturing industries for 4 years. In 2004, I was awarded "PSPA Gloden Prize" for developing the most effective production plan for manufacturing Honda front mudguard.

I completed my Master of Engineering in Advanced Manufacturing Technology at the University of South Australia (UniSA) in 2006, ranked the top student (First Class Honours) with High Distinction in all subjects and GPA of 98.86% (6.92 out of 7.0). I also received an Award for becoming the 'University of South Australialia's 2007 Top Masters Graduate'.

In December 2006, I was awarded the "UniSA Postgraduate Scholarship" for continuing my studies towards a PhD degree and started my doctorate studies in 2007. At the same time I am currently a teaching assistant, student assessor and practical supervisor at UniSA.

I have published several conference papers and journal articles both nationally and internationally, a list of which can be viewed below. I was also awarded the "European Achievement Award" in 2006 for my research contributions to the field of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering and proposing quality papers in the International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Sciences.

In February 2009, I was awarded the William T Southcott Scholarship in support of my PhD studies. Southcott Scholarshipis is a prestigious award and the recipient will be an ambassador for the University giving presentations to the manufacturing industries.

I would like to express my deep gratitude to Prof. Kazem Abhary, Prof. Lee Luong, Dr. Romeo Marian, and Mr. Behzad Motevallian for their keen intellect and concise guidance throughout my study at UniSA. I am very much grateful to all members of my family and my dear friend, Ms. Ramona Salehi, for their all-time supports and never-ending love. I am thankful to UniSA for the opportunities they have offered me to date.
