I encourage and promote good practice and innovation in teaching and provide leadership in the interpretation and implementation of University-wide teaching and learning initiatives in the Division. I also coordinate the development and monitor the implementation of the Division's Equity Plan.

I also research, publish and consult in the area of internationalisation in higher education, including internationalisation of the curriculum, teaching international students and professional development for transnational teaching. I am an elected member of the Board of the International Education of Australia (IEAA), convenor of the Internationalisation of the Curriculum Special Interest Group of the IEAA and a member of the Research committee of the IEAA. I am on the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Studies in International Education and I also review papers on an ad hoc basis for the Journal of the Australian Association for Research in Education (AARE), the Australian Educational Researcher (AER) and HERD , the Journal of the Higher Education Research and Development Association of Australasia.

My background is in education and applied linguistics. I have worked in both the secondary and tertiary sectors; in Australia and in Europe.
