Harjap Bassan held senior finance positions in hotels for several years, with Inter*Continental Hotels Group in Kenya and Radisson Hotels & Resorts in Australia. Prior to this, he acquired professional accounting and audit experience with PriceWaterhouse, as the firm was then known.
As an academic, Harjap has worked for the University of Nairobi (in the Department of Mathematics), Southern Cross University (in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management) and currently works for the University of South Australia (in the School of Commerce).
His research and teaching interests are in the areas of accounting and finance. He is completing the PhD degree at the Bond University, Gold Coast.
