Welcome to my homepage at the University of South Australia.

As the Counsellor at Mawson Lakes, I provide services to students and staff, and to the University community as a whole.

In addition to individual counselling, my role includes the development and implementation of group programs, provision of training to other staff, and the design and development of online resources for the Learning and Teaching Unit. I am also the Chairman of the Network Mawson Lakes project, which together with the Mawson Student Network, was formed to create ties between the University and the Mawson Lakes community as a whole.

By far the most important aspect of my role is the provision of counselling and support to students via drop-in sessions and short appointments. I encourage any student who is experiencing worry or distress to drop in and speak with me before these difficulties impact upon study and health. The University really wants you to succeed in your studies, and to enjoy your time here.

The Learning and Teaching Unit Reception Desk is located in the Library foyer, opposite the Library Service desk.

About Me

Before joining UniSA, I worked as a Psychologist in Queensland Mental Health, helping people manage anxiety and depression and other mental health problems.

Before studying Psychology, I worked as a Junior Laboratory Attendant in Entomology at the Waite Agricultural Research Institute, Glen Osmond.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy singing and playing guitar. I also love old movies and the music of the ‘swing’ era. My favourite weekend activity is going for a country drive or picnic.
