Research interests

  • My area of research is water resources management. I am presently working on a project funded by the Australian Research Council and five industry participants. The aim of the project is to further investigate three key questions related to the use and impact of water markets and develope a framework for ongoing monitoring and reporting on market outcomes. Over the last 9 years i have worked on one ARC SPIRT projet funded by the Australian Research Council and ten industry partners and two projects funded by the Land and Water Australia. These projects have all had to do with evaluating the socio-economic impact of water markets and to develop a policy framework for a more efficiently working market
  • The implication of water market polices on the valuation of farm land
  • Water Policies related to un-regulated rivers and groundwater aquifeers
  • Water policies and developing countries
