Jill is a Lecturer in the School of Psychology and Program Director of the Bachelor of Psychology Honours Program. Her primary research experience is in human sleep, biological rhythms and performance. Her PhD investigated fatigue and performance impairment in shiftwork. Following her PhD, she undertook a Research Fellowship with The University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. While there, she conducted research for the National Space Biomedical Research Institute, investigating unobtrusive measurement techniques for workload-induced stress. In addition, she was involved in several other basic and applied research projects examining the effects of altered sleep wake schedules on human performance. Currently, as a member of the Centre for Sleep Research, she works with the Australian Rail and Healthcare Industries investigating fatigue, workload, operational performance and safety.
