Kent Wilson is a Lecturer in Accounting in the School of Commerce within the Division of Business. He is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher that encourages students to achieve their best.
His ability to engage students, coupled with the skill of explaining challenging concepts across different delivery modes has been recognised in the folllowing teaching awards:

Prior to becoming an academic, Kent worked in, management, business development, owned & operated an electrical contracting business and completed an electrical apprenticeship. This blend of experience gives him an oustanding ability to engage with students from diverse backgrounds as well as providing a degree of "real world" experience to the courses he teaches.
Kent fully understands the rigours of student learning and the importance of establishing a work/study/life balance. He has completed studies whilst being married, spending time with two growing boys and working 50+ hours a week.
Kent's qualifications have been gained in both the TAFE and University Sectors. Additionally, he has gained these qualifications as a school leaver, mature age student as well as being an external and an internal student.
