Welcome to Manjit’s homepage. Manjit joined the School of Accounting and Information Systems as Lecturer B in 2002 and is now with the School of Management. She is Program Director of the Division BUE Honours Program.

Manjit completed Masters in Anthropology specialising in Social Anthropology and went on to do her PhD. For her doctoral research she examined formal and informal relationships between the employers and the employees. While doing her research she completed a postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations. On completion of her doctorate Manjit decided to join her family business. After a successful career as Vice President of the company, she chose to return to academia. Manjit arrived in Adelaide in 1998 and has been working at University of South Australia since 1999.

Since she joined the University of South Australia, Manjit has taught a range of subjects across the Divisions. She has taught various business and management subjects and social research methods. She has particular interest in online teaching and learning and has developed courses in that format.

Manjit is an active researcher and has been recipient of Divisional Research Grants for 2001-2002. She is also recipient of the Teaching and Learning Grant for 2003, and a team leader in Assessment Development Grants awarded in 2003. She is a member of Human Resource Management Research group in the Division of Business and is currently working on a research project titled, "Diversity management practices in Australian organisations, an employees' perspective" as team leader. Manjit is also a member of International Employment Relations Association, Hawke Research Institute for Sustainable Societies and the Ethics Centre of South Australia. She has research interests in the area of management ethics, research ethics, human resource management and small business management.
