I currently teach and co-ordinate a core education course – Education, Change and Society. This course provides a focus on social justice and anti-racist education and is taught in conjunction with lecturers from the David Unaipon College of Indigenous Education and Research (DUCIER). My interest in working with pre-service teachers stems from my early career experience as a primary teacher in rural and remote WA, NT and SA. Prior to working at UniSA I was engaged in research work in the Northern Territory with the Cooperative Research Centre for Aboriginal Health (CRCAH). I continue to research with colleagues in the Indigenous health and education fields. Most recent projects include qualitative data collection and analysis relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health sector accreditation and Improving Housing Responses to Indigenous Patterns of Mobility.
