Professor Ebbeck is currently Emeritus Professor of Early Childhood Education, School of Education, University of South Australia. She is part time Senior Academic Adviser to SEED Institute (Formerly RTRC, Asia) and she is currently external consultant to two projects jointly with Catholic Education, NT and Charles Darwin University. Recent papers: -Professor Ebbeck presented a paper with two early childhood recent PhD graduates Dr Bonnie Hoi Yin and Dr Maria Lai Wan Lee at the Alliance for International Education Conference Asian Branch Shanghai Gathering 23-25 October, 2009 The title of the paper was Internationalisation of the curriculum: A comparison of two early childhood higher education programs in Australia -Professor Ebbeck presented a paper at the Charles Darwin University & Catholic Education, Northern Territory Conference on Strong Foundations in Early Childhood, November 13th & 14th. The title of Emeritus Professor Ebbeck’s paper was Assessment in Early Childhood: Achievements and Challenges.
Professor Ebbeck was appointed in June, 2008 as an external examiner for the Universiti, Brunei Darussalam
Professor Ebbeck completed an assessment of the B Ed (ECE) and was an external assessor at the University of Malaya, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, February, 2008.
Professor Ebbeck has been reappointed in 2008 for another 3 years to the Hong Kong Council of Accreditation (HKCAE) as a specialist in early childhood education
Professor Ebbeck is the principal researcher in a teaching/learning grant to develop an on-line course in brain developement 2007-2008.
Professor Ebbeck was the principal researcher in a University Commissioned grant she won with Dr Victoria Whitington and Ms Alexandra Diamond which is investigating the transition between the TAFSA child care award and the School of Education early childhood degree program. This research was completed in August 2006 and is on a UNISA website.
Professor Ebbeck chaired the Children's Services State Consultative Committee from 1996 - July 2004.
