I have been involved in language teaching and learning for 27 years in Italy, Japan and the UK, and joined the School of Communication, International Studies amd Languages in January 2008. Prior to taking up my current post, I spent 11 years working at King’s College London as Programme Director of the English Language Centre and Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics. During my time in London I worked as a PhD examiner for the University of London and as an auditor for a number of university-based foundation programmes. Other institutions at which I have held positions include: Temple University Japan (US), University of Surrey (UK), Birkbeck College London, Anglia Ruskin University, Ashiya University (Japan).
