Mr Patrick Wille

Patrick moved from Switzerland to Australia a few years ago. He was born and raised on the shores of Lake Zurich. After high school he studied law at the renowned Law School of the University of Zurich.

Having graduated from Law School Patrick worked as judicial secretary and assistant to the judges of the District Court in Affoltern. In 1996 he was appointed as an assistant to the judges of the Court de Cassation in Zurich, the highest court in the Canton (State) of Zurich.

In 1999 Patrick passed the bar exams of the Supreme Court in Zurich and was admitted to legal practice in all jurisdictions in Switzerland. In the same year he worked a few months with the Swiss Army as a peacekeeper in Bosnia-Herzegovina. As a legal adviser and liaison officer he supported the Organisation of Security and Corporation in Europe (OSCE) in rebuilding democratic structures after the war. After the engagement as peacekeeper he attended a law course on the U.S. legal system at Tulane University in New Orleans (USA).

In 2000 Patrick joined a mid-sized law firm in Zurich as senior associate and specialised in Corporate and Commercial law. He represented corporate clients from various industries, in particular from the banking and pharmaceutical sector. Due to his commercial acumen he was appointed as director of a number of companies.

Patrick joined UniSA in 2006 as a casual staff member and is lecturing for UniSA since 2007. He has assumed the role of course coordinator for a number of core courses delivered in Adelaide as well as in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. In 2009, he took on the role as program director of the Bachelor of Business Administration program at UniSA.

Besides this Patrick is consulting Australian law firms on matters involving Swiss or international law and teaches for other renown tertiary education providers.
