I joined UniSA in September 2005 as Director: Finance. My key career focus has been in strategic and corporate performance information provision, strategic planning and the systems and tools that support this environment. I have had broad commercial experience working in Australia, United Kingdom (4 years) and New Zealand.

My commercial experience has included numerous implementations and re-engineering of Finance and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, the processes associated with those systems and the alignment of policies and organisation structure. I have implemented Business Intelligence (BI) solutions within large international organisations and actively participate in the development of BI solutions within UniSA.

Prior to joining UniSA I was General Manager: Accounting & Administration for the Home & Hardware Products Division (Australia and NZ) of Hills Industries Limited. This Division includes international brands such as Hills, Bailey and Oldfields (ladders), Kelso (wheelbarrows) and Triton (woodworking equipment).

Responsibilities as General Manger: Accounting & Administration included: Financial Analysis, Decision Support, Business Intelligence & Reporting; Developing and Leading the Annual Budgeting Process; Human Resources Function - All HR functions including Performance Management & Salary Packaging; Strategic Planning - Developing, Facilitating and Executing Strategic Planning for the Division; Information Systems & Technology; Acquisition Due Diligence; and Product Price & Margin Management Support.

Previous workplace experience also includes:

Schenker UK, London - Financial Controller;

Ernst & Young, London - Audit Supervisor; and

Ernst & Young, Adelaide - Audit Senior.
