Sarah provides research assistance for members of the Centre for Studies in Literacy, Policy and Learning Cultures (LPLC), a research concentration in the Hawke Research Institute. She has worked for UniSA for ten years on various projects including the Socio-economically disadvantaged students and the development of literacies in school project (1998-2001) and the Children of the new millennium project (2002-2004). Currently she is working on the Mapping multiliteracies evaluation project (2007-2008) in association with DECS.

Sarah has a website looking at the history of Australian children's literature - www.Australianchildrensliterature.com - and is totally chuffed with it! And is even more chuffed with the domain name, since she can now extend the site to include contemporary children's literature as well - when she can find the time!
