Sev Nagalingam was a Research Leader at the Centre for Advanced Manufacturing Research (CAMR) until Nov 2007 of the School of Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering (AME) , and the Program Director for Master of Logistics and Supply Chain Management , at AME, University of South Australia. In late 2007, his team established a Virtual Computer Integrated Manufacturing System Laboratory at AME.

He was invited as an international Steering Committee member (committee of experts among SME) for reinventing SME /CASA Manufacturing Enterprise Model, and have been a Guest editor of prestigious journals on CIM, a number of times.

Presently he is involved in many research and industrial projects.Information relating to the research projects are displayed on the AME web site Available Research Projects , .

    Current Projects:

    Development of an Agent based VCIM system for Small and Medium Manufacturing Enterprises
     The aim of this research is to further develop and implement the agent-based VCIM architecture, which will help Australian SMMEs improve their competitiveness in the international market. By integrating Web services model, this implementation is an effort to establish the VCIM theory as a realistic application for the SMMEs, with the consideration of communication methods among SMMEs
