Welcome to my home page.

In 2007 I began my PhD supported by an APA scholarship. My research is concerned with the education of children and young people in out-of-home care. In particular, it is investigating their social experiences in school settings.

I work as a sessional tutor in Development and Learning 1 and 2.


Teaching interests

  • Educational Psychology. Theories of human development, learning and cognition. Aspects of development and their relation to learning.
  • Working with pre-service teachers: helping them prepare for their future roles as educators; developing their understanding of influences on student motivation and achievement; exploring the roles of educators and others in children's development and learning.
