1. Research Grant ARC for Strategic Partnership with Industry - Research & Training (SPIRT) Support Grant 1998 for an APA(I)-PhD Student for 3 years : (Funds Approved $60,000) "The implications of the Tendering Contract for Encourgement of Innovation in the Building Process", with Professor AC Sidwell, CII as chief investigator.

2. Research Grants Council, Hong Kong (2007) - "Evaluating the Key Risk Factors and Risk Sharing Mechanisms for Target Cost Contracting (TCC) Schemes in Construction" (Funds approved HK$400,620 for 24 months), with Tony Ma as co-investigator in Australia.

By profession I am a chartered quantity surveyor and hold a Doctor Degree in Project Management. My major professional and research interests are in the aspects of Cost management, Ethics in Public Tendering and Project Procurement.
