She is responsible for undertaking the compliance and administrative duties that support the delivery of established quality assurance frameworks that govern transnational program development and delivery, and the establishment of partnerships for articulation and student exchange at the University of South Australia.

She provides assistance to monitor, review and implement change to improve the quality and integrity of processes and procedures used in the assessment and approval of transnational programs, and provide assistance in the record management of transnational program agreements and documentation. She also provides assistance in the maintenance of the articulation and student exchange quality frameworks within UniSA International.

Her role responsabilities: Quality Review and Compliance: Coordinate the annual ISO 9001 certification review process for the transnational quality framework. Assist Planning and Assurance Services with the annual internal audit of the transnational quality framework. Coordinate identified projects for UI and the University related to continuous improvement in transnational quality systems on a University-wide basis. Serve as the Executive Officer for the Transnational Management Group. Serve from time to time as one of the UI nominees on University and UI working groups supporting quality systems in transnational program development and administration.

Systems and Processes: Ensure quality systems, databases, processes, records and website is maintained in relation to the transnational quality framework. Assist with the maintenance of records for the articulation and student exchange quality frameworks. Liaise with divisional, school and central unit staff in the maintenance and review of all quality systems related to transnational program development quality frameworks. Ensure that all transnational program information, agreements and related information are recorded, stored, updated and centrally accessible. Assist with the review and evaluation of the efficiency and effectiveness of relevant quality systems and procedures, identify areas for improvement and implement as required.

Customer Service: Maintain and update the records management system and public information, including web-based information in respect to changes to legislation, regulations, policies, business processes etc and disseminate relevant information to stakeholders regarding these as they impact on transnational programs or formal agreements. In conjunction with relevant University staff, assist with the provision of training as appropriate to users of all aspects of UniSA’s transnational quality management systems. Provide support to both academic and administrative staff involved in the development of transnational programs. Develop and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders throughout the University.

Alejandra Pinero de Plaza supports the management of the Transnational Quality Framework to ensure the Coursework Program Approval Process continually and consistently satisfies the requirements of the Academic Policy and Program Review Committee (APPRC).
