Alice Clark is currently employed as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow in the Quality Use of Medicines and Pharmacy Research Centre. Alice has recently completed a project called "Enhancing the Safety of People Living in the Community with Dementia" in conjunction with the Royal District Nursing Service and the Adelaide Western General Practice Network. Alice is currently working on an Ageing Well Ageing Productively project, looking at the development and evaluation of management strategies designed to address poly-morbidity in older people and the implications for health policy planning, practitioners and patients.

Alice is a PhD graduate from the Division of Education, Arts and Social Sciences, School of Social Work and Social Policy. She was supported by an APA (Industry) scholarship which was funded by an ARC Linkage Grant, submitting her thesis in February 2008, titled "Communities and Participation". The industry partner was the City of Salisbury. The research was predominantly qualitative and looked at meanings of community in the context of social policies that are aimed at people who are disadvantaged, and their implementation, social, economic and civic participation, governance, social capital and community development.

Alice has worked extensively as a social worker in areas including the Drug Court, domestic violence, supported accommodation, community housing and mental health. She has also lectured at TAFE and tutored at UniSA. During the last several years her work experience has been in research, social and health policy analysis, community development and project management for both government and community organisations.
