- Colloid & Materials Science: Particle size measurement, electrokinetic behaviour, dense colloidal dispersions, light scattering techniques, atomic force microscopy.
- Electronics & Instrumentation: High speed digital correlators, laser electro-optic instrumentaion (especially for materials applications).
- Light Scattering & Propagation: Propagation in atmosphere & ocean waters, remote sensing.
