Dr Michael Court

My early career was in accounting and economics with a large Adelaide accounting firm and then with the Reserve Bank of Australia in Adelaide. After later gaining an MBA from the University of Washington, I joined the South Australian Public Service and held increasingly senior positions from 1970 to 1986, culminating in 6 years as an Executive Director in the SA Health Commission. I became the inaugural General Manager of the private health company Mutual Community Health Services Pty Ltd in 1986 (operating a number of private hospitals and preventive and industrial health services) and General Manager of the statutory authority Foundation South Australia in 1988. I completed the Advanced Training Program of the Australian Staff College at Mt Eliza in 1987. I retired from Foundation South Australia in 1994 to establish my own management consulting practice. I have been an adjunct senior lecturer for IGSB in the areas of Strategic Management and Quality Management since 2002.
