Patrick completed his Bachelor of Laws Degree with First Class Honours at the University of Adelaide in 2006 following completion of a Bachelor of Arts in 2002, Majoring in History. Whilst studying, he undertook the role of student enrolment adviser, researcher and editor of staff papers prior to publication for the University of Adelaide Law School. He undertook his Clerkship at Cosoff Cudmore Knox in June 2007 before becoming a Judges' Associate in the District Court of South Australia and an Associate to the Honourable Justice Sulan in the Supreme Court of South Australia in July, 2008. Patrick joined the UniSA School of Law in July, 2009 as a Lecturer in Criminal Law.
