Steve works part time as a research assistant at the Centre for Allied Health Evidence as well as providing ergonomic consultancy services with Rankin Occupational Safety and Health Pty Ltd.

Steve is currently also completing a PhD, which he plans to submit by the end of 2009. His thesis presents a secondary analysis of two larger studies investigating risk factors for the development of low back pain amongst a cohort of adolescent secondary students
