Research interests

  • My main research interests are in the individual and social aspects of learning in organizational contexts including such areas as constructivism, learning orientation, problem-solving and sensemaking. I am also interested in issues pertaining to knowledge sharing, management education, emotional intelligence and intangible performance. My methodological orientation is qualitative in nature and I am particularly interested in exploring such techniques as reflective inquiry, Ideas Unlimited, convergent interviewing and ethnographic participation.

  • Currently, I am the Managing Editor of Journal of International Business & Entrepreneurship Development published by InderScience and the Editor for Asia and the Middle East of Journal of European Industrial Training published by Emerald. I am a member of several Editorial Advisory Boards including such journals as European Business Review, Human Resource Development International and Journal of Workplace Learning. I am also an ad-hoc reviewer for several journals including Group & Organization Management, Human Relations and The Learning Organization.


Research Degree Supervisor

I currently supervise several research candidates with Dr. Mark Goh in the areas of Knowledge Management, Business-to-Business Marketing, Organizational Communication and Compensation & Benefits. I have successfully supervised four doctoral dissertations to completion and these include such areas as Change Management, Marketing Communication, Mergers & Acquisition and Human Resource Management.
