Currently employed as Instructional Designer/Editor for Saint Francis Xavier University's (StFX) Continuing & Distance Education department.
I have a number of research interests, including career transitions, transformational learning, program evaluation, distance education, adult learning, and health literacy.
Currently a member of the Adult Working Group for the Canadian Council on Learning's Health and Learning Knowledge Centre. We've conducted a comprehensive environmental scan and state of the field report on the status of health and learning of Canadian adults, in particular with adults with literacy challenges, immigrants and refugees, persons affected by HIV/AIDS, and persons living in rural and remore areas that fall below national health norms. We're finishing up consultations with these target groups and writing a final report that is intended to inform a policy and research agenda.
